Special congratulations go to Isabella –
Who was pulled forward in 4th place
And awarded a special Honours medal in both her solos!
Another special mention and congratulations goes to Liz –
She was awarded 3rd place with an Honours Mark
She sadly didn’t make the finals – as it was a huge section of 46 dancers, it was split into 2 groups where only the top 3 marks went through to finals.
The most incredible achievement…
Bea & Liz placed 3rd in their Duet with an Honours Mark.
They now go through to the
ALL ENGLAND DANCE FINALS in July.
Mark Scheme
Merit – 0-9 Marks
A sound performance that demonstrates adequate technical skills and/or ability. A limited awareness of performance and the required artistic elements as required by the choreography is demonstrated and requires further development.
Commended – 10-17 Marks
A generally good performance that demonstrates some sound technical skills and/or ability. A sufficient awareness of performance and the required artistic elements as required by the choreography is shown although can be further developed.
Distinction – 18-20 Marks
A good performance that demonstrates some strong technical skills and/or ability. A consistent awareness of performance and the required artistic elements as required by the choreography.
Distinction Special Commendation – 21-23 Marks
A consistent performance that demonstrates very good technical skills and/or ability. A strong awareness of performance and the required artistic elements as required by the choreography is maintained throughout.
Honours – 24-27 Marks
You have to receive at least this mark to reach the All England Final’s
An excellent performance that demonstrated secure technical skills. A consistent awareness of performance and the required artistic elements as required by the choreography is maintained throughout.
Honours Star – 28-30 Marks
An exceptional performance encompassing excellent technical skills.
An outstanding awareness of performance and the required artistic elements as required by the choreography is maintained throughout.
